Diskusi Bersama Rocky Gerung di UNAIR Dibubarkan

SUMAPEDIA.COM, SURABAYA – Selasa, 1 Agustus 2023, BEM Universitas Airlangga berencana menyelenggarakan Seminar diskusi mahasiswa bertajuk “Sinergi Mahasiswa Nasional” yang diadakan di Universitas Airlangga.

Seminar ini mengundang beberapa narasumber diantaranya Rocky Gerung (Pengamat Politik), Saut Situmorang (Eks Wakil Ketua KPK), dan Andi Sinulingga (Penggagas Kolaborasi Jakarta). Namun, seminar ini tiba-tiba dibatalkan secara sepihak oleh Dekanat Fakultas Kedokteran UNAIR, sebagai penyedia tempat dilaksanakan seminar berlangsung.

Tidak ada alasan yang jelas apa alasan dibatalkannya seminar ini. Menurut keterangan Presiden BEM UNAIR, Anang Jazuli, diduga kuat pembatalan secara sepihak dengan dilarangnya penggunaan gedung di salah satu FK UNAIR itu karena narasumbernya yaitu Rocky Gerung.

Sejumlah mahasiswa yang telah bersiap hadir di dalam ruangan, diminta untuk mengosongkan gedung. Pihak pelaksana penanggungjawab gedung menyebut, ini terkait situasi politik sehingga gedung di FK tidak mengizinkan penggunaannya 30 menit sebelum acara dimulai.

Pihak panitia menjelaskan bahwa sebelumnya kegiatan akan diadakan di gedung FEB UNAIR, namun, dibatalkan. Penggunaan gedung di FK UNAIR sudah mendapat izin. Tetapi pihak penanggungjawab gedung tetap menolak kegiatan tersebut di gelar di FK UNAIR.

Rocky Gerung dan narasumber lainnya sudah sempat hadir dan menyapa mahasiswa. Namun kemudian meninggalkan tempat dan memohon maaf karena tidak bisa berdiskusi.

Rocky Gerung mengatakan “yang perlu kalian hitung, adalah apa penyebab saya tidak bisa bicara disini?”, ucap rocky gerung kepada mahasiswa UNAIR.
