Manusia tentunya memiliki tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam hidupnya, salah satunya adalah merdeka secara finansial. Merdeka secara finansial dapat diartikan sebagai kemampuan seseorang dalam memenuhi kebutuhannya sehingga dapat hidup dengan pantas dan tanpa hutang. Atau dapat diartikan semua aktivitas dan keputusan kehidupan sudah tidak lagi semata-mata ditujukan untuk uang, tetapi uang dipandang sebagai sarana mencapai tujuan yang lebih hakiki (Yulianti & Silvy, 2013). Dalam mencapai merdeka finansial tersebut salah satunya dapat dilakukan dengan berinvestasi

Investasi merupakan kegiatan menanamkan sejumlah uang atau sumber daya lainnya ke dalam suatu proyek atau bisnis dengan tujuan untuk memperoleh keuntungan di masa depan. Investasi dapat dilakukan dalam berbagai bentuk, seperti saham, obligasi, reksa dana dan lainnya. Banyak masyarakat yang menganggap investasi adalah kegiatan yang rumit dan hanya dilakuakan oleh orang kaya. Namun pada kenyataannya dengan seiring perkembangan teknologi, kini investasi dapat dilakukan dengan mudah melalui online dan juga modal yang rendah sudah bisa digunakan untuk  investasi. Investasi memiliki banyak manfaat bagi siapa saja yang ingin mempersiapkan kehidupan dimasa depan dengan lebih baik.

Dalam melakukan investasi tentu hal pertama yang disiapkan adalah pengetahuan tentang mengelola investasi hal ini penting sebagai dasar investor untuk membuat keputusan investasi. pengambilan keputusan investasi seseorang dilatarbelakangi oleh pemahaman investasi, mulai dari jenis investasi, return yang akan diperoleh, risiko yang dihadapi, sampai dengan hal-hal lain yang terkait dengan investasi yang akan diambil (Aditama & Nurkhin, 2020). Dengan sudah mempunyai dasar tentang investasi, investor yang memilih instrument investasi yang tepat maka akan berpotensi memperoleh pengahasilan yang tinggi dari dividen, bunga, atau keuntungan modal yang dihasilkan dari investasi tersebut. Selain itu, investasi juga dapat membantu meningkatkan nilai aset finansial seseorang di masa depan, seperti melalui investasi properti atau investasi di reksa dana.

            Selain memberikan keuntungan finansial, ivestasi juga dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dalam mengelola pendapatan ataupun aset secara bijaksana. Hal itu dikarenakan dalam berinvestasi diharuskan memahami manajemen investasi yang baik. Dengan seringnnya mengetahui resiko dalam investasi dan juga perencanaan investasi yang baik, tentunya akan melatih keterampilan investor dalam mengelola keuangan pribadi. Sehingga investor dapat memiliki tingkat keuangan yang sehat dan efektif.

Dengan investasi, juga dapat membantu dalam mempersiapkan kehiupan di masa depan yang lebih baik. Karena dengan keuntungan finansial dari investasi dapat digunakan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan masa depan, seperti dana pensiun, dana sekolah anak, dana Kesehatan, dan dana darurat. Investasi yang baik maka akan menghasilkan kestabilan finansial dimasa yang akan datan

Investasi juga berdampak positif terhadap lingkungan. Dimana investasi memiliki peranan yang begitu penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan. Kemajuan diberbagai sektor usaha menjadi suatu realitas penting yang harus dipahami bersama dalam hal mengupayakan kesejahteraan masyarakat (Hasan, 2006). Dengan adanya perkembangan dalam hal produksi di suatu perusahaan yang menerima dana investasi, maka akan membuka lapangan pekerjaan untuk mencukupi inpu dan output produksinya. Dengan investasi kita juga berperan dalam membantu meminimalisir tingkat pengangguran disekitar lingkungan perusahaan penerima dana investasi. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalah investasi merupakan hal penting yang bisa dilakukan untuk mendapatkan kehidupan yang lebih baik di masa depan. Investasi juga berdampak terhadap perekonomian sekitar yang bisa dirasakan oleh masyarakat. Jadi jangan ragu untuk berinvestasi, namun tentunya berinvestasi dengan cara yang cerdas.
