SUMAPEDIA.COM, JAKARTA – Presiden Joko Widodo mengatakan bahwa Zainudin Amali secara informal sudah menyatakan mundur dari jabatan sebagai Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga (Menpora).
Adapun saat ini Zainudin Amali terpilih menjadi Wakil Ketua Umum Persatuan Sepak Bola Seluruh Indonesia (PSSI).
“Secara resmi belum, (pernyataan) tertulis belum. Informal sudah (menyatakan undur diri),” ujar Jokowi di Jalan Ciliwung, Jakarta Selatan, Selasa (21/2/2023).
Jokowi membenarkan bahwa Zainudin menyatakan pengunduran dirinya lewat laporan secara langsung kepadanya. Zainudin dan rombongan PSSI sempat melakukan pertemuan, kemarin.
Kemudian, saat disinggung pengganti Zainudin Amali sebagai Menpora, Jokowi belum memberi jawaban pasti.
“Gantinya nanti kalau sudah ada resminya baru saya bicara ya,” tambahnya.
Sebelumnya, Zainudin Amali bersama pengurus PSSI yang dipimpin Erick Thohir (Menteri BUMN) melakukan pertemuan dengan Presiden Joko Widodo di Kompleks Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta, Senin (20/2/2023).
Usai pertemuan, Zainudin mengaku mendapat izin dari Presiden Joko Widodo untuk fokus mengurusi dunia sepak bola.
Hal ini ia sampaikan merespons pertanyaan apakah ia akan mundur dari kursi Menpora setelah menjabat sebagai Wakil Ketua Umum PSSI.
“Beliau menyampaikan kepada saya, saya diizinkan untuk konsentrasi dan fokus kepada sepakbola. Sudah, jangan dijelasin panjang-panjang lagi itu,” kata
Zainudin menuturkan, dalam pertemuan tersebut, ia melapor kepada Jokowi bahwa telah terpilih sebagai salah satu Wakil Ketua Umum PSSI.
Politikus Golkar ini pun meminta izin kepada Jokowi untuk berkonsentrasi mengurus sepak bola sebagai pengurus PSSI. Politikus Partai Golkar itu pun menyebut bahwa Jokowi memberi izin.
“Jadi beliau sudah mengizinkan saya untuk fokus dan konsentrasi mengurus sepak bola, mendampingi Pak Erick Thohir, Bu Ratu Tisha, dan teman-teman Exco (Komite Eksekutif PSSI),” kata dia.
