AHY juga akan mengajak PKS untuk menyerahkan urusan cawapres kepada Anies. Hal itu AHY sampaikan pada Kamis (26/1). Ketua Umum Demokrat itu menilai, koalisi perubahan akan memiliki posisi yang setara apabila tak menuntut siapa cawapres untuk Anies.
“Demokrat akan mengajak PKS agar menyerahkan keputusan Bacawapres kepada Bacapres yang kita usung. Dengan demikian, tiga partai memiliki kesetaraan yang sama dalam koalisi,” Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Ketum Partai Demokrat.
AHY juga memaklumi apabila kader dari masing-masing partai ingin menjadi pendamping Anies. Namun, politisi Demokrat itu mengingatkan penentuan bakal cawapres jangan menjadi hambatan dalam terbentuknya koalisi perubahan.
AHY berharap, dengan independensi Anies dalam memilih cawapres bisa menjadi keharmonisan dan saling melengkapi antar keduanya. Agus menambahkan dirinya tidak ada masalah dengan kriteria cawapres yang akan diajukan Anies. Kriteria itu antara lain, berkontribusi pada pemenangan, stabilitas koalisi, mendukung efektifitas pemerintahan, dan memiliki chemistry atau dwi tunggal.
Ketua Umum Demokrat itu juga mengajak NasDem dan PKS untuk membentuk sekretariat bersama sebagai bentuk keseriusan koalisi. Sementara itu di sisi lain, sekretaris Majelis Tinggi Partai Demokrat, Andi Mallarangeng menyampaikan, pembahasan Bacawapres untuk Anies semakin progressif.
