SUMAPEDIA.COM, SURABAYA-Kamis (19/1) menjadi hari pertama pelaksanaan Youth Nutrition Festival oleh Insan GenRe Jawa Timur yang bekerja sama dengan Yayasan RISE Foundation. Kegiatan edukasi gizi yang telah di rancang sebelumnya ini dilaksanakan pada tiga titik sekolah di Surabaya, yaitu SMP Yapita, SMA Yapita, dan SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya.

Aksi Gizi Goes to School merupakan kegiatan pertama dari rangkaian Youth Nutrition Festival yang diadakan oleh Insan GenRe Jawa Timur dan Yayasan RISE Foundation.

Safitri Mufaidah Ketua Aksi Gizi Goes to School mengatakan, “Kegiatan ini adalah salah satu dari 9 kegiatan Youth Nutrition Training, dan memang dari 9 kegiatan itu memiliki sasaran edukasi yang berbeda-beda, dan kami memilih sasaran siswa sekolah.”

Dalam kegiatan ini turut dihadirkan beberapa pemateri yang ahli di bidang gizi, diantaranya Ibu Rahma Zuliani dan Ibu Silvia yang berprofesi sebagai Bidan.

“Pemateri yang dihadirkan ada dua, yang pertama ada Ibu Rahma Zuliani selaku Bidan di Pusyan Gatra Perwakilan BKKBN Jawa Timur. Yang kedua ada Ibu Silvi selaku Bidan RS Ibnu Sina Gresik,” ujar Safitri (20/1).

Kegiatan semacam ini merupakan hal baru bagi siswa di sana, seperti yang ungkapkan Zara, siswi SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya menyampaikan bahwa sebelumnya Ia belum pernah mendapat edukasi tentang gizi semacam ini.

Inilah yang membuat Safitri dan kawan-kawan, dengan binaan dari Insan GenRe Jatim dan Yayasan RISE Foundation, bersemangat untuk melakukan aksi baik dengan berfokus pada edukasi gizi dan label pangan.

Aksi Gizi Goes to School ini bertujuan untuk menyadarkan remaja tentang pentingnya memperhatikan gizi yang di konsumsi dan mengetahui informasi gizi label pangan pada makanan kemasan.

“Memahami nilai gizi pada label pangan makanan kemasan itu penting, karena jika mengkonsumsi makanan tidak sesuai dengan takaran yang diberikan, akan berdampak buruk pada kesehatan” tutur Safitri.
