SUMAPEDIA.COM-Pesawat Yeti Airlines ATR-72 dengan nomor penerbangan YT691 yang terbang dari Kathmandu itu jatuh ke sebuah jurang di Pokhara, Nepal sebelum mendarat di tengah cuaca cerah pada Minggu (15/1). 

Beberapa jam setelah terjadi kecelakaan tersebut, sebuah video mendadak viral di India. Video unggahan streaming Facebook live milik salah satu penumpang pesawat yang merupakan warga India, Sonu Jaiswal itu merekam detik-detik menjelang jatuhnya Yeti Airlines YT691. 

“Sangat menyenangkan,” ujar salah satu dari empat pria dalam video tersebut.

Beberapa saat setelah menunjukkan pemandangan dari jendela pesawat, terdengar teriakan para penumpang. Akhir video menunjukkan api besar dan asap hitam hingga akhirnya siaran tersebut berhenti.

Dilansir dari The Guardian, video tersebut dikonfirmasi oleh Vishal Koswal (21) yang merupakan seorang teman dari empat pria tersebut. Mereka adalah Jashiwal (29), Anil Rajbhar (23), Vishal Sharma (23), dan Abhishek Singh Kushwaha (23). Keempatnya berasal dari Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Pihak berwenang Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh mengatakan bahwa mereka telah menghubungi keluarga dari keempat pria itu dan Kedutaan Besar India di Kathmandu untuk menawarkan bantuan.

“Kami juga telah memberi tahu para keluarga bahwa jika mereka ingin pergi ke Kathmandu, kami akan mengatur semuanya untuk mereka,” ujar hakim distrik Aryaka Akahauri kepada wartawan.

Bandara Pokhara merupakan bandara internasional yang baru saja diresmikan sekitar dua pekan yang lalu. Kecelakaan pesawat ini menjadi kecelakaan terparah di Nepal sejak 1992. Sebelumnya, pesawat Pakistan International Airline menewaskan 167 penumpang saat menuju Kathmandu.
