DITINGGAL DEMO, KANDANG TERNAK MILIK KADES DI TULUNGAGUNG TERBAKAR

SUMAPEDIA.COM, TULUNGAGUNG-Senin (16/1) sekitar pukul 19.30 WIB, ketika Suratman, Kepala Desa Tambakrejo, Kabupaten Tulungagung itu sudah berangkat ke Jakarta untuk mengikuti aksi unjuk rasa terkait tuntutan perubahan Undang-Undang Desa, kandang ternak miliknya malah kebakaran.

Saat kebakaran, semua kandang milik Suratman nyaris dilahap habis oleh si jago merah. Kandang yang berada tepat di belakang rumah Kades tersebut berhasil dipadamkan oleh petugas sebelum api merangsek ke rumah pribadi Suratman.

Menurut Bambang selaku Kasi Pengendalian dan Operasional Pemadam Kebakaran Satpol PP Tulungagung, kebakaran di area rumah kades itu diduga berasal dari pembakaran sampah. Istri kades yang membakar sampah dan sempat dimatikan. Namun, api belum benar-benar padam dan merembet ke jerami hingga membuat kandang milik suaminya terbakar.

“Istri pemilik rumah sebelumnya membakar sampah di belakang rumah. Dikiranya saat itu api sudah padam,” ujar Bambang, Senin malam dilansir Tribun Jatim.

Ada sekitar 10 kandang baterai ayam petelur yang rusak karena kebakaran tersebut. Proses pemadaman berlangsung kurang dari 30 menit dengan usaha ekstra petugas pemadam kebakaran dalam melakukan pendinginan.

Bambang menyebutkan bahwa orang yang berada di rumah kades tidak tahu sampai akhirnya api membesar.

“Lokasi kandang ada di belakang, lumayan jauh meski terhubung dengan rumah utama. Jadi apa yang terjadi di belakang rumah tidak terpantau,” kata Bambang.

Petugas melakukan pembasahan pada tumpukan jerami di belakang rumah Kepala Desa Tambakrejo itu selama lebih dari 1 jam.

“Memang kesulitan jerami seperti ini, harus diurai dan dibasahi semua. Kalau-kalau masih ada bara yang bisa menyala lagi,” ujar Bambang.

Bambang juga menghimbau masyarakat untuk menjadikan kejadian ini sebagai pelajaran.

“Ini menjadi pelajaran, jangan pernah meninggalkan pembakaran sampah sampai benar-benar padam. Apalagi lokasinya dekat barang-barang yang mudah terbakar,” imbuhnya.
